He's really a great guy. Was watching the McLaren programme earlier today on tv, called 'Chase the Dream', but it was mainly focused on Hamilton lol
Fernie is a great talent too, I'm sure he'll do fine at McLaren, it will take time as with all new teams, but he has a very very talented and hungry teammate. Can't wait for that _________________

Each time I hear that expression I associate it with Nicky Hayden...hehe http://www.nickyhayden.com/site/images/wall2_1024.jpg
Back to Alonso, he has been WC twice...anything else to add?? I think that this summarise everything... I just hope he could help McLaren to be McLaren again (by winning the ConstructorChampionship, not the drivers one ) |

YEAP!!! I'm so happy for him because i've been supporting him since the Minardi days where nobody ever imagined that one day he would ever win a race. And now, look at him: he's 2 times world champion!!!!
My heart is really divided, I really want mclaren to win constructor championship that's for sure but I would like to see Nandito being 3 times world champion but i would also like to see Kimi wining the world championship for the first time.

Yes, I'm male and I like women. So? why I couldn't care his hair cut? Please, don't give me a reason from the Middle Age.
Anyway, the nickname of Alonso is "Nano" and not "Nando". |

As I said, as Fernando is a Spanish name, it can't be related to english.
Fernando: Nano
If you or anybody else still have doubds, a friend of Alonso made a song for him. As you can hear, he says several times "El nano es..."

To add to Adam's Spanish text, here's something in English:
| Wikipedia wrote: | Fernando Alonso Díaz (born on July 29, 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain) is a Spanish Formula One racing driver and reigning, two-time, world champion. He currently lives in Oxford, England, and owns a house near Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

Most of you know me to be a huge McLaren fan (also ) and I'm impressed with both Alonso and the McLaren. Really wish them well in 2007! _________________

That about "Enano" has nothing to do with "Nano", wich is the nickname of all people named "Fernando". As I said this is a spanish name and the nickname is done by spanish rules. So, neither Nando comes from Fernando nor Nano comes from Enano. That would be maybe by english rules. |

Ok, guys, whateva his name or nickname is, he is still great. I think everybody can call him the way they want. That doesn't really matter, right? I myself only call him Fer or Fernie, and though they seems to be "English ways", and Spaniards maybe don't like them... it's Ok.Why taking too much time to argue about that?

Ferny is used in Spain too. And about the other, is not that I don't like it, Is that it is wrong And this is not arguing, this is cultural exchange about F1 |

not bad for the first race?! I was glad to see McLaren on the podium with Nandito and Hamilton. Shows that McLaren's car is way better than the one of last year.
When it was officialized that Nandito was going to McLaren I was very happy because i'm his fan and a McLaren fan too but I was a little bit worried because in the previous years McLaren's car wasnt really that good...
About nicknames...
The nickname for the name "Fernando" in Brazil is "Nando". But I got used to call him Nandito so no matter how i try, i'll never be able to call him Nano or any other name.
Hey...that Melendi is Nandito's friend???? I liked his "Magic Alonso" song. it's nice and i think it's funny how he says "Button", i had to listen to the song one more time to figure out who was "Báton". But I liked the song!
Does anyone knows "Cafe quijano"? Is this band good? nandito said this is his fav band.

Yeap...I really liked Kimi's hair style when he drove the ferrari for the first time. And I like Nandito's long hair style. _________________
